Adamawa Police Rescue 2 Kidnappers,  Dislodge And Recovers Arms

Adamawa State police command
has dislodged a criminal hideout in Gurin, Muninga, Wuro Kesum, Parda anpad Boggel Districts of Gurin in Fufore local Government Areas.

In a statement released by the state public relations officer of the command, SP Sulaiman Nguroje, the operation, which was carried out by the Command’s operatives attached to Gurin Division in joint operation with Hunters yielded tremendous success.

“The outcome of these successful follow-up on Collaborative Community Policing/ Rescue Operations strategy adopted by the command to Checkmate Cases bordering on Kidnapping, Armed robbery, Cattle Rustling, Unlawful possession of firearms, amongst others, has yielded the desired result. The operation led to the interception of three kidnappers.

The suspected kidnappers upon sighting our men engaged them in a gun duel as a result One (1) of them was neutralized, others escaped with bullet wounds.

“Interestingly, two of the victims Muhammed Maikano and Abubakar Maikano were rescued. One AK-47 rifle, 25 rounds of ammunition amongst others were recovered,” he said.

The commissioner of Police, CP Afolabi Babatola,expressed happiness joy as he lauded the effort of DPO Gurin, his men and hunters for the gallant performance displayed in napping the suspects.

The CP called on the good people of the state to always inform the police of the whereabouts of criminals and their hideouts, especially those on the run with bullet wounds if seen

The CP equally assured the government and good people of Adamawa state, of the command’s continuous effort to dislodge all criminal hideouts and blackspots in Adamawa state.
