A witness by name, Mr. Bonet Gwaza has appeared before a tribunal sitting in Kaduna on Tuesday to present to the court the BVAs report for the 23 Local Government Areas of Kaduna state.
Amongst other exhibits presented to the court are the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC’s) form EC40G for Igabi west constituency.
Mr. Gwaza who is a system analyst; Kaduna INEC also presented to Justice Victor Oviawie led panel the voters’ register for Kauru, Lere, Zaria and Igabi LGAs respectively.
However, the presentation of the exhibits to the tribunal by the representative of INEC followed the subpoenal application filed by the legal team of the 1st and 2nd respondents; People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Hon. Isa Ashiru.
The witness who affirmed to give right information at his disposal said: “for some of the documents to be provided before the court by the commission, the petitioners should apply to the National Secretariat of the commission in Abuja.”
Upon the arguments of all parties’ counsel involved in the case, the case as been adjourned till 12th July, 2023 for the continuation of cross-examination of the said witness
