English Premier League side Crystal Palace have signed Nigerian sensational Under-18s forward Ademola Ola-Adebomi.

Ola-Adebomi has enjoyed a commendable individual season as part of Rob Quinn’s Under-18s, scoring 14 goals from 22 appearances as the U-18s sit third in the league.

Ola-Adebomi joined Crystal Palace 10 years ago aged eight and progressed through the age groups, coming on as the Under-15s won the national Super Floodlit Cup final for the first time in club history. He is a powerful centre-forward who made his Under-18s breakthrough in 2020/21.

Speaking on why he signed for Crystal Palace, Ola-Adebomi said: “It’s what I have dreamed of since the age of eight since I joined the Academy. To get a professional contract here means the world to me.

“This season has been my best season so far. I feel like I am playing with confidence and I’m scoring goals, assisting goals and playing well. As a team, we have moulded well, and I feel like we are battling for the title, which is quite big. Hopefully, we can go on and win the title… The aim was to win it this year, which I feel is possible.”

Crystal Palace Chairman Steve Parish, while commenting on the deal said: “Ademola Ola-Adebomi has been with this club for a decade, which makes today’s announcement all the more special. I feel sure he will capitalise on this landmark moment and continue to work hard – we will make sure he has all the tools and support from every member of staff in our new Academy facility. Congratulations to him and his family, we are all very proud of him.”
