The newly appointed Supervisor of Enyimba Football Club Nwankwo Kanu has ordered the immediate sack of all coaches, staff, management and crew attached to the club and to reapply for their respective positions within 48 hours, MoneyCentral reports.
The directive was issued on Monday 17th July 2023 via an official statement signed by the Club’s Sporting Director – Ifeanyi Ekwueme, on behalf of Kanu.
Finidi George, a Nigeria football legend, won the 2023 NPL title with Enyimba in June after emerging top in the Super 6 Play-off in Lagos.
The statement which was titled: APPLICATION FOR RE-ABSORPTION INTO ENYIMBA MANAGEMENT, sent shocking waves through the football world as a 48-hour ultimatum was issued to ensure compliance.
Club statement in full:
“To all the Management, staff, and Technical Crew of Enyimba FC’s 1st and 2nd Teams,
“You are hereby instructed by this notice to reapply for your positions in the club with immediate effect.
“Note: All applications should be submitted to the club’s TMS manager within 48 hours.
“Thanks for your usual corporation.”
