GTCO Profit Dips 15% as Other Income’ Plummets

Guaranty Trust Holding Company (GTCO) profit after tax fell by 15% to N865.7 billion in December 2025 from N1.017 trillion in December 2024.

This came as other income fell by 72% to N139.95 billion from N499 billion in December 2025. The largest component being the Unrealised Fair value loss on financial instrument of N81.79 billion in 2025 from gains of N517 billion the previous year.

The Directors recommend the payment of a final dividend of N11.76k (Eleven Naira and Seventy-Six kobo only) per ordinary share of 50 Kobo (bringing the total dividend for the financial year ended December 31, 2025, to N12.76k (2024: N8.03K per share). Withholding tax would be deducted at the point of payment.
