AXA Mansard Plc has surmounted a challenging operating environment as the insurer recorded earnings, which validates underwriting efficiency.
For the first nine months through September 2026, AXA Mansard’s profit after tax (PAT) spiked by 81.50 percent to N10.89 billion from N6 billion as at September 2025.
Profit before tax (PBT) followed the same growth trajectory as it surged by 112.80 percent to N12.87 billion in September 2026 from N6.0 billion as at September 2025.
Insurance revenue was up 18.76 percent to N143.14 billion in the period under review from N120.52 billion as at September 2025.
Despite the gradual transitioning into a low interest rate environment, investment income increased by 37.24 percent to N12.27 billion in the period under review from N8.94 billion as at September 2025.
The insurer paid N65.47 billion in claims in the first nine months of 2026, which is 10.62 percent higher than 2025’s N59.18 billion.
To complete its planned capital base so as to strengthen the balance sheet and undertake bigger risk, AXA Mansard is opening shares left untaken by existing shareholders under its proposed N18.30 billion rights issue to other interested investors.
