SpaceX is kicking off a secondary share sale that would value the rocket-maker at $800 billion, surpassing OpenAI to make it the most valuable U.S. private company, the Wall Street Journal reported.

The company’s Chief Financial Officer Bret Johnsen told investors about the sale in recent days, according to the report.

The potential $800 billion valuation highlights the immense investor confidence in SpaceX’s diversified, high-growth business model, which spans launch services and global internet connectivity.

If finalized, this valuation would represent a massive leap for the Elon Musk-led company.
