FOMWAN Holds 2022 World Hijab Day Feb. 1 In Osun

In commemoration of the World Hijab Day which holds every February 1, an annual lecture and sensitization programme organized by the Federation of Muslim Women Association of Nigeria (FOMWAN), Osun State Chapter will hold day Tuesday, February 1, 2022.

This contained in statement released by Amirah of the Association, Alhaja Sadiat Oladapo and the Secretary Alhaja Simbiat Tijani indicates that venue of the programme which is billed to commence 10am is FOMWAN Building Complex, Abioye-Moremi Street, Off Gbogan-lbadan Road, Osogbo, Osun State.

The release further states that guest lecturers at the program are Imam AbdGaniy of Oladejo Mosque, SUBEB Junction, Osogbo who will speak on the theme “Hijab Is Our Crown, Not A Crime” as well as Barrister (Mrs) Shakirat Ashafa Olaore who will deliver the lecture on “Working To End Hijabphobia in Nigeria”.

It adds that some of the schools invited to the programme are FOMWAN Model School, Osogbo, Molek Group of Schools, Ofatedo, Osogbo, Muslim Girls College, Onibueja, Ido Osun, Osun State FOMWAN Youth who are expected to entertain our guests with educative and Islamic side attractions and presentations.

The release enjoins all invited guests, members of the association and all Muslim women to attend the programme.
