Barcelona record signing Ousmane Dembele is prepared to cut wages to stay at Camp Nou in fresh negotiations.
The relationship between Barcelona and Dembele almost reached a sad end towards the end of January as the club tried to force the Frenchman out of the club, but the Frenchman has rediscovered his form.
Since his arrival as Barcelona manager, Xavi Hernandez has been playing Dembele and turning him into a key part of the team and that has helped to mend his relationship with the fans at Camp Nou.
Dembele is the joint leading assist in LaLiga with Real Madrid star Karim Benzema, providing 11 goals.
Barcelona’s Sporting Director Mateu Alemany travelled to Morocco to speak to Dembele’s agent last month.
Reports say the first meetings between Dembele’s agent and Barcelona’s Sporting Director was been positive. Dembele has shown willingness to reduce his wage to continue playing at the club following Barcelona’s financial problems thereby helping cut down their budget for next season.
