Rite Foods Ltd. has risen to 22nd position in Nigeria’s Top 50 Brands ranking, reflecting its growing brand recognition and investment in innovation and quality.

Mr Adetokunbo Modupe, Chief Consultant at TPT International, disclosed this on Thursday during Rite Foods’ 2026 Content and Media Drivers Immersion Programme in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun.

Modupe said the company climbed from 50th position in 2021 to 30th in 2023, 27th in 2024 and 22nd in 2025.

He attributed the progress to investments in modern manufacturing facilities, product innovation, quality assurance and consumer-focused packaging.

“The automated production systems witnessed here demonstrate that Nigerian businesses can achieve world-class manufacturing standards despite challenges in the operating environment,” he said.

Mr Ekuma Eze, Head of Corporate Communications and Sustainability at Rite Foods, said innovation, local expertise and quality would remain central to the company’s growth strategy.

Eze said the company’s entry into the beverage market was driven by its determination to develop distinctive products rather than imitate existing brands.

“We do not believe in copying people. We believe in doing things differently and offering products that can compete anywhere in the world,” he said.

He said the company’s ‘Fearless’ energy drink had helped make energy drinks more accessible to Nigerians through affordable packaging.

According to him, Fearless had emerged as a leading brand in the energy drink category.

Eze said the company’s growth strategy was anchored on innovation, excellence, integrity and accountability, with sustainability central to its long-term ambitions.

“Our vision is to lead in our chosen areas of operation while ensuring growth, stability and an enduring legacy,” he said.

He added that Rite Foods would continue leveraging local expertise and quality to strengthen its position in Nigeria’s food and beverage industry.

Eze said employees remained central to the company’s success, noting that it prioritised staff welfare, professional development and a supportive working environment.

He said Rite Foods promoted open communication, stable compensation, equal employment opportunities and consistent product quality.

According to him, retaining a Nigerian leadership team demonstrated the capacity of local professionals to develop and manage competitive products.

On government support, Eze said the company had benefited from an import duty exemption certificate covering 25 per cent of applicable duties on certain imports.

“The Federal Government has saved us billions of naira through this, and we really appreciate it,” he said.

He said the company’s sustainability commitments extended beyond its operations to supporting communities, stressing that sustainable businesses required sustainable communities.

Mrs Toyin Nnodi, Head of Marketing at Rite Foods, unveiled new products, including a malt drink fortified with essential vitamins.

She said the product was developed to provide consumers with a non-alcoholic beverage that met their needs while recognising Nigerians’ support for the company.

“We wanted to give back to Nigerians who have supported the business for this amount of time,” Nnodi said.

She said the company had revisited its recipe to develop a distinctive product that would meet consumer expectations.

“We went back to the drawing board, worked on the recipe and decided to come up with something unique,” she said.

Nnodi added that Rite Foods had introduced 13 flavours of its soft drinks over the past decade.

The programme also featured a tour of the company’s beverage and bakery factories at its Ososa facility near Ijebu-Ode.

Mr Henry Ohikhuai, the Plant Manager, expressed confidence that the engagement would benefit both participants and the company.

Modupe said Rite Foods’ growing brand recognition reflected deliberate brand development and its commitment to quality and innovation.

He added that the company’s operations demonstrated the capacity of Nigerian professionals to manage businesses efficiently and develop products capable of competing internationally.
