Nigeria’s GDP Expanded by 3.9% in 2025 – NBS

The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) released the GDP report for 2025, which indicated that the Nigerian economy expanded by 3.9% YoY (vs 3.4% YoY recorded in 2024). Both the oil and non-oil sectors scaled in the review period, up by 8.5% YoY and 3.7% YoY, respectively (vs 5.5% YoY and 3.3% YoY in the prior period).

Non Oil GDP expanded by 3.7% Year-on-Year in 2025 while oil GDP rose by 8.5% YOY.

The Non-Oil sector contributed 97.13% to GDP in 2025.
