The ₦2.15 trillion ($1.5 billion) Initial Public Offering (IPO) of Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals FZE officially opens for public subscription today, September 14, 2026, across 32 SEC-approved receiving institutions, bank apps, and digital investment portals.

The offer will remain open for four weeks, closing on October 13, 2026.

The listing is set to expand the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) equities market capitalization by ₦63.07 trillion ($48.89 billion), making it the largest single-stock weighting on the exchange upon formal listing.

Key Market Dynamics & Access Gateways

  • Priority Allocation for Small Retail Investors: As outlined by promoter Aliko Dangote, retail applications in the ₦50,000 to ₦100,000 range will receive first-tier approval and full allocation before institutional book-building scaling is applied.

  • 32 SEC-Cleared Distribution Channels: Subscriptions are accessible via 19 commercial banks (including Access, GTBank, FirstBank, UBA, and Zenith), 10 fintech platforms (Bamboo, Flutterwave, Moniepoint, PiggyVest), 2 mobile network operators (MTN MoMo and Airtel SmartCash), and the central NGX Invest digital portal.

  • Institutional Capital Catalyst: The offer opening coincides with Nigeria’s upcoming re-entry into the FTSE Russell Frontier Market Index on September 21, aligning foreign passive portfolio inflows with domestic pension fund deployments unlocked under PenCom’s special dispensation.
