The operations Controller in charge of Yola field office, Mr. Sadiq Ibraheem said the  marketers were caught during the monitoring exercise by officials of the department across the state.
Ibraheem said their offences range from selling above government official pump price, lack of price and safety facilities compliance, diversion of petroleum products as well as absconding with petroleum products.
He maintained that initially the marketers were skeptical in investing on gas plant business in the state but with rapid awareness by the department, the narrative has changed for the good.
The DPR boss announced that his department is gradually moving from manual to digital technology so as to reduce human interface which is believed to be a major factor limiting the smooth operation of the department.
He explained that the department has introduced down stream remote monitoring system  (DRMS) where all activities from application, registration and approvals for construction and businesses are processed.
He vehemently advised the public to adhere and cooperate with the department for guidance on the activity of petroleum marketing businesses in the state.
