Adamawa CP Vows to Punish Attackers of Fintiri’s Aide

Adamawa State Commissioner of Police, CP SK Akande, has vowed to punish the attackers of Muhammed B. Tukur Gcfr, Senior Special Assistant to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri on New Media.

Tukur and his wife were attacked by yet to be identified persons at his residence in Yola. The CP in statement by the Police Spokesperson, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje has stated that the command has ordered the operatives of the command to fish out the perpetrators.

He said that the command will not sit and allow criminals to have their way, and assured Fintiri and the citizens of the command’s readiness to ensure the state is rid of criminals. CP Akande, ordered the operatives of the command to draw from the Special Rapid Response Team (SRRT) and other Tactical Squads to carry out a tactical and intelligence – driven 24/7 raid against hoodlums that are hell bent in disrupting peace.

He also directed the Divisional Police Officers to personally lead the night patrols in their respective Areas of Responsibility (AOR) to ensure total domination of the public space.

According to him, these deployments will surely assist in coordinating timely response to distress calls and to clamp down on those found committing crimes for the law to take its course.

The Police Commissioner said that this is a clear manifestation of the command’s determination to provide a peaceful and conducive atmosphere in the State.
