Zone ‘A’ Advocates For True Democracy has called on the founder of House of Joy Ministry Archbishop Sam Zuga, to contest and win the Benue North-East Senatorial seat come 2023 general elections to replace senator Gabriel Suswan.
In a meeting held in Makurdi, the president Zone ‘A’ Advocates For True Democracy, Mr Abaivo Mase, said their decision was informed by Dr. Zuga’s antecedents and humanitarian gestures cutting across Benue and beyond.
“We have reposed our trust and confidence in the man of God with a settled conviction that if elected into the Red Chamber of the National Assembly, he will prevail on relevant authorities to alleviate the plight of his people. From all indications, Sam Zuga will not trade with our benefits and will not treat us with sentiments if elected in the National Assembly”, the president stated
In their separate responses Hon Simon Atumbu who spoke for Jechira people said Jechira had occupied the seat for 12 consecutive years and they have deemed Zuga the most qualified person now to be there in the interest of zone A people.
On his part Mr Orya who spoke for Kwande people, averred that if a man of God becomes the senator of zone A, he will listen to the cries of his people and Zuga is that man of God.
Mr Gabriel Iorbee Terfa who spoke for Ushongo said Ushongo people are not interested in the Senatorial seat but Governorship, so they want Zuga to go to senate.
Deputy Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Katsina-Ala Local Government, Mr Terseer Kobo,
appreciates the group for willing to forgive Sankera and letting them maintain the seat despite abysmal performance assured that Sankera will not disappoint the people of zone A for the second time.
In separate comments, Fidelis Kave who spoke for Logo and Teghtegh Shijo who responded on behalf of Sankera in general extolled the sterling leadership qualities of Archbishop Amb. Sam Zuga, stressing the need for him to join the race and clinch the seat.
